Hello, BHE Homeschool Friends!

My name is Bernie Beall and I would like to bless & serve you and your homeschool students. A church in Northern Virginia (Prince of Peace Lutheran Church) has given me a grant to be able to offer my services free of charge to local homeschool groups this spring semester. Since my wife & I launched Great Commission Families in 2006, I have taken thousands of people and hundreds of groups on Spiritual Heritage Outings in & around DC. Christian homeschool groups have been among the various types of groups I’ve served.

*** BTW, we homeschooled our four children in Northern Virginia from 1992-2005. Now we live in Brunswick, Maryland and have six grandchildren in Classical Conversations in Charles Town, West Virginia. J

Attached for you are:

  1. GCF Flier and Top Ten Talks.pdf -- This single page summarizes our ministry and the two ways we might be able to serve you. (A) Leading an outing, or (B) Coming to speak to your group. Or both! Perhaps a presentation, then sometime later a field trip to that or some other location. Lots of options and variables, so I look forward to talking again soon to see what could most benefit you all.
  2. GW’s Four Flags Handouts.pdf -- As a sample of how I might be able to serve you, here are three versions of the handout that goes with one of my most popular presentations. (A) Longer quotes. (B) Shorter quotes. (C) Bookmark size quotes. I do this presentation in almost any setting, including on-site at the Washington Monument or at Mount Vernon. In addition to on-site, I could also do this or any of my presentations for you in a classroom or school assembly/chapel setting.
  3. Bernie Beall’s Free Fliers & Handouts.pdf -- This gives you a sense of the scope of tours & presentations I could lead for you. Over the years, people have asked me for lists of the Bible verses I share, especially in DC, or a copy of my quotes & notes. Feel free to ask me for anything on this list of PDFs that might interest you, especially as you consider a possible outing or presentation.
  4. BEALL – Summer 2019 Prayer Letter.pdf -- Our Prayer Letter from last summer summarizes the five types of groups we serve. The third section listed is Christian school groups. I think you’ll enjoy reading that part, and at least scanning the whole letter.
  5. Bernie Beall’s Bio 2020.pdf -- In addition to this short bio, we have a longer biography that includes memories from over 100 friends across our more than three decades in ministry online here: www.gcfamilies.org/resources/articles/Remember-His-Wonders.php
  6. BEALL – Fall 2019 Prayer Letter.pdf -- I thought you’d also enjoy this excerpt from a home school group this past fall: “Even Teens Can Enjoy History! In fact, here’s what a group of high school students said about our trips to DC and Gettysburg: “Bernie greeted each of us in turn. He was funny, even hilarious, and really knows how to tell a tale. He was full of fascinating facts, and he always shared about God and the Bible!”

Finally, have a visit to our website: www.GCFamilies.org Especially take note of the 4-minute video at the bottom of our homepage.

I look forward to talking with you more (or whoever else) about the possibility of me serving your families and students sometime in the coming months. Thank you and God bless!

In Christ,

All the Best,

Rev. Bernie Beall
