Maritime Museum and Park Class
Thursday, October 22 10am-12pm (arrive by 9:45am)
-
Homeschool students preK through 12th grade
-
Two groups, split based on younger/older ages (elementary and middle/high school).
-
Content would cover reef animals, oyster dissection, seining (if it’s not too cold), and water quality (which isn’t always included but makes sense for the ecology piece and ties things together). If it’s too cold for seining, we could also meet a blue crab and/or go crabbing.
-
The youngest children would participate in a Pre-K to K program (45 minutes long) from 10-10:45.
-
Parents will need to stay with the youngest kids the whole time and will be able to view the exhibits after the program.
Cost to participate:
-
Members: $10/student K-12 $3/student preK
-
Nonmembers: $14/student K-12 $7/student preK
-
AHSG Members save $2 off class price, and PayPal fees are covered by AHSG for members.
-
No refunds; admission can be transferred to another homeschool family in the event you are unable to attend after signing up and paying registration costs. Please notify Melissa if you need to transfer your admission to someone else.
-
COVID guidelines: check your family members' temperatures before arriving, do not attend if anyone in your family is ill or has come in contact with COVID, wear a mask, and abide by distancing guidelines in place during the class and while on site.
