7. Membership Agreement

As a member family of Great Endeavor Homeschoolers:

I have read and understand the GEH Handbook, located here: https://www.homeschool-life.com/nc/greatendeavorhomeschoolers/_handbook%202023_2024%20(3)(2).pdf, and I agree to honor the guidelines & principles that govern this group. I will adhere to the Code of Conduct and Dress Code outlined in the handbook.
I agree that my family meets the requirements for a homeschool according to the NC Homeschool Law.
I understand that membership dues to GEH are $40 for 2023/2024 and no refunds will be issued.
I agree to be an active participant in GEH to get the most benefit from my membership
I understand that my membership to GEH can be revoked at any time if I neglect to abide by any of the principles of GEH.
I understand that pictures will be taken at many GEH outings and functions and posted on GEH-approved sites such as the GEH Facebook Page, GEH website, etc.
I will ensure that my children follow the code of conduct set by GEH for field trips, co-op, or any GEH activity. I declare that my children will behave themselves in such a way as to preserve and protect the building, properties, and possessions of all the facilities in which we meet. I will be personally responsible to replace any property my child/children damages while participating in GEH activities at any of these facilities.
I understand that none of the churches or other organizations that allow GEH to use their buildings or grounds is associated with GEH in any way. I understand that each is allowing GEH to use their facility and properties without rent as a gracious gesture in a show of their support of GEH and its commitment to providing children with an excellent and biblically based education
I hereby declare that neither I nor any family member will in any way bring legal action or any other obligation upon any of the churches or organizations (that allow us to use their facilities), GEH, or any GEH Board member for any reason pertaining to and/or involving me or my children’s activities or injuries with GEH while on the premises of any of these facilities or on any GEH activity or field trip.

I understand that by applying for membership to this group, I agree to bear the sole responsibility for myself and my children’s safety, whether physical or emotional, at all events. Regardless of the presence of other adults, it is imperative that I watch my own children. In addition, event postings are not a venue for endorsements. I am the only one who knows my child’s abilities and/or limitations. It is my duty to take these things into consideration before attending an event. Once I have decided to attend an event, I assume all responsibility for any and all associated risks, foreseeable or not.

GEH does not carry insurance. It is your responsibility to provide the insurance you feel your child/family will need.
