Standard of Conduct

For adults:

Maintain order and discipline of your own children and any other children for whom you are responsible, knowing where they are and what they are doing at all times.

Should a problem arise with a student, his or her parents will be notified and asked to address the situation or behavior. Depending on the nature of the problem, Leadership reserves the right to place a student on probation for up to four (4) weeks, during which time a parent/guardian will be asked to accompany the student in all class periods. Students may be suspended if no action is taken.

Never drop a child off and leave them unsupervised at any time. If you are unable to attend an LCHE activity with your child, another adult must be designated to be responsible for your child. Be sure your child knows who is in charge of them. Make sure the adult in charge knows you will not be in attendance. (Children may NOT be dropped off at HIS Co-op  - see "Parents on Site" for more information.)

When attending an activity, be in submission to the adult(s) in charge.

For students:

Obey adults in charge of the activity at all times.

Be polite and show respect to adults in charge of the activity by being quiet and listening well when they are speaking to you.

Always respect adults in charge of the activity by not arguing or talking back when disciplined.

You must have permission from your parents or an adult in charge to leave the group.

Respect others by keeping your hands and feet to yourself, never pushing, shoving or hurting anyone, even with words.

Any student who verbalizes intent to harm themselves or others will be taken seriously. Parents will be promptly informed and appropriate law enforcement notified, if deemed necessary.

Students are not permitted to possess any type of weapon at HIS Co-op, INCLUDING pocket knives.

LCHE Leadership reserves the right to search backpacks, purses, or any personal items, without notice, for any reason the Leadership Team deems necessary.

For all, including the adult(s) in charge:

Persons attending and/or participating in activities, competitive or otherwise, must behave in a kind manner at all times.

No profanity is permitted at any LCHE activity. Out of respect for families and younger children on site, all conversations should be "G rated."

LCHE does not allow the possession of drugs (including cigarettes, cigars, illlegal drugs, vaping materials, etc.) or alcohol on the campus or at any LCHE activities.

Violations of the Standard of Conduct will be handled by leadership. If the safety and well-being of the others involved in the activity require it, the offending party will be asked to leave the activity immediately by a person in charge. Leadership reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any participant who will not follow the Code of Conduct. In the event that a family or student is dismissed, LCHE and/or HIS Co-op fees will not be refunded.
