Lansing HEART’s Vision Statement

Lansing HEART (Home Educators are Resourceful Teachers) is a Christian homeschool group organizing enrichment activities and support for our homeschool community.

Lansing HEART assists member families in finding resources and sharing information, offers a variety of social activities and various enrichment opportunities, and supports our homeschool community.
 

Lansing HEART encourages its members to take spiritual leadership  within their individual families.

A Christian perspective is generally assumed but not required for participation. Lansing HEART board members, as well as members acknowledge the Statement of Faith as found on the website.

Lansing HEART defines the terms `home education', `homeschooling', and `home

schooling' exclusively as the privately-funded, home-based education and

discipleship of children by their own parents or guardians.

While we support parent’s rights to choose the method and source of their children's education, Lansing HEART will not participate in any way with public school partnerships.

We realize that families that take part in public school partnerships, as well as public-schools-at-home,  face many of the same issues and challenges as home educators.The board welcomes their membership in Lansing HEART, and allows them access to all resources.
