Mrs. Jenn Haymaker To All Instructors

Mrs. Haymaker’s early career led her to work in marketing and event planning for a DC-based PR agency, a large non-profit and eventually for Marriott’s Corporate Headquarters in Bethesda, MD. After the birth of her first child, she left the corporate world to be a stay-at-home mom. At the same time, she started working for herself as a marketing consultant and eventually started her own event planning company. In 2019, she left all of her previous roles to take on her most valuable role as a homeschool mom of her three children.

Mrs. Haymaker has taught elementary and middle school history and civics in various co-ops since she started homeschooling. She loves teaching material that may otherwise be considered “boring” in a hands-on and fun way! She loves to travel with her family and their Cavapoo puppy, Phoebe, and together they have RV’d to 19 of the 50 states, so far. A former year-round swimmer, Mrs. Haymaker coaches a local swim team during the summer—the Kincaid Forest Stingrays. She loves being a part of the Hearts family and can’t wait to teach High School World Geography this upcoming year!
