eciGroup is local company that has been in business for almost 30 years.  It began as Eichelberger Construction Inc.in 1992 but has grown and expanded, now offering services beyond construction and therefore is now known as the eciGroup.  Their construction focus markets are: senior living facilities, corporate offices, hotels, medical facilities, banking facilities, and retail stores.  Some of these you might know, such as the renovation of the Pennsy Supply Corporate Office in Harrisburg and the VA Outpatient Clinic in Mechanicsburg.  eciGroup also includes eciWireless (from erecting cell towers to installing fiber optics) and eciService (which offers service calls and small construction projects) and MidState Mechanical & Electrical (which offers mechanical and electrical services.)

We will meet the president of the eciConstruction division, Mark Yinger.  He will tell us about the different divisions of the eci family and show us some time-lapse drone pictures of the construction and wireless divisions at work.  We will learn about the myriad of jobs required to make such a company function - from the office to the field - as well as educational requirements needed.  If there is interest, they will also share about their college intern program.

Please note:  We will be in a 2nd floor conference room that is not handicapped accessible.

Moms with younger children may wait in the employee gym however, due to liability, children are NOT allowed on the gym equipment. Parents are welcome bring distractions (Legos, books, etc.) for their “littles.”
