As TAG Homeschool Group works to fulfill our mission to provide a fun learning experience, we must be confident that we are doing our diligence in protecting the children and families within our TAG community.  For the 2025-2026 school year, TAG will continue to institute mandatory background checks for instructors and one or both parents who attend TAG from each lower track family (i.e., whoever will be filling the shepherding roles or having student contact).

COST

• The cost of $27 per individual, which must be paid by each individual who requires a background check.

• The background certification is good for 3 years.

• By completing these background checks, TAG will also receive a small discount on the liability insurance we are required to carry.  

PRIVACY

• Only the coordinator has access to view the completed background checks. 

• If a background check is flagged as "needs additional attention," it will be brought before the TAG board as a whole to decide if further action is needed.  

• Any individual completing the background check may request a copy of their results.
