Payment is taken the day of the event.
Advanced registration is required and is available through October 3.
All in a day’s work! Taking care of the animal collection is much more than using a shovel. The animals depend on our training in math, science, and engineering to keep them alive and well. Come experience a piece of our daily work as our education staff guide you through activity stations based around this theme. Then enjoy the rest of your day with other Home School families seeing the remainder of the Zoo.

Time: Zoo opens at 9:00 a.m.
Education stations open from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Cost (payment is taken the day of the event):
Grades K-6: $8/student (Zoo members $3/student)
Grades 7-12: $10/student (Zoo members $3/student)
Preschool children ages 3-5 (coming with other home schooled students): $5/student
Children 2 and under: Free
Chaperones: One free adult per family.
One additional adult: $10.00
Parking - $7/car (free for Zoo members)
Payment is made when you arrive at the Zoo. Expect some waiting time to check-in if you arrive between 9:30 am and 10:30 am. If purchasing a membership you might want to purchase on-line in advance at www.mnzoo.org.
Lunch: Families are welcome to purchase lunch at the Call of the Wild food court or bring your lunch and eat at any of the indoor or outdoor picnic areas. There are school lunch storage shelves located by the school lunch tables at the Tropics Trail plaza for use on this day.
