Prospective families may review our Orientation to Homeschooling information without requesting membership or logging in to our website.

Enrollment in Pathways Academy is mandatory to request access to private areas of our school website. Enrolled families MUST log in to have access to the school activity calendar, print paperwork, and sign up for field trips and school events.

Homeschool Orientation sessions for Prospective Families will be will held at the Pathways' Resource Center on the following dates:                                                                                               
Thursday, July 24 at 1pm
Thursday, July 31 at 1pm
Thursday, August 7 at 1pm                                                                                                                                                 
ATTENDANCE at a Homeschool Orientation session IS REQUIRED for all NEW families prior to submitting paperwork. However, we do have limited seating availability, so we suggest that not everyone try to attend the first meeting this Thursday. Latecomers risk being turned away and told to come back another day.
 
PAPERWORK: To save time and effort, prospective families can view and print the necessary paperwork from the from the left hand menu without logging in to the site.  Forms are saved in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format. To open these documents, you will need to install the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader available by clicking here: www.adobe.com/products/reader. A Church School Enrollment Form (CSEF) must also be filled out for each child, but this form is only available at the orientation session. A copy of each child's birth certificate will be requested and a copy of the teaching parent's driver's license will be made prior to processing the application.  
 
FEES: A registration fee of $35 per family is required by all newly enrolling families. Annual tuition is $125 per family. Therefore, newly enrolling families will pay a total of $160 for their first year. Annual family tuition is guaranteed not to increase as long as enrollment remains current.
                                                                                                                                        
ENROLLMENT IS NOT AUTOMATIC: Enrollment is not complete until all required paperwork has been submitted and registration and tuition payment has been made. This means that the Church School Enrollment Form, the form required for notification to the Board of Education, will not be sent until fees and paperwork have been received. Note: Failure to turn in Enrollment paperwork on time could lead to truancy issues with your local Board of Education.                                                                                                                                             
ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED: We have a limited number of spaces available for NEW families this year. We will NOT be processing applications immediately after the orientation as we have done in the past.  This will allow us time to review each prospective application.  Families will be notified of acceptance or declination of enrollment by phone, email, or a letter sent by mail after their application has been processed.  If admission is denied, all money and copies of documentation will be returned.
                                                                                   
We sincerely hope that all prospective homeschooling families will find our orientation meeting informative and productive. Please allot approximately 1 1/2 hours for the meeting, and an additional 1/2 hour to complete the necessary paperwork.
 
Families are always welcome to consider their decision and return their paperwork later.  However, please keep your public school's start date in mind when waiting to turn in your paperwork.  Public school procedures allow only 10 unexcused absences before declaring a student to be truant and subject to school disciplinary action.

2008-2009 Enrollment DEADLINE Notice:

All families MUST update their enrollment for the 2008-2009 academic year by August 15, 2008. [This is a RECEIVED IN OUR OFFICE DATE, not a postmark date.] Failure to do so will result in payment of another registration fee of $35.00 and may also result in a new tuition rate of $125.00. We regret this early re-enrollment date, but it is dictated by the beginning of public school. Within a few days of the public school year beginning, the school is required to notify the board of education which student's enrollment has ceased. Therefore, when public school begins earlier, we have to push our enrollment deadline to an earlier date.

 

 

 

 

WANT TO RECEIVE THE NEWSLETTER?

 

After you become a Pathways' member, you will be asked to register with the school website.When registering for the site, you must answer Yes to the question, "Weekly Email Update: Would you like to receive a weekly email update?" This is the ONLY way to insure you will receive the Weekly Newsletter with calendar event information, along with updates on activities, classes, and field trips. This online newsletter is the ONLY newsletter that will be sent. If you select No, you will not receive a newsletter and you will not receive school information, updates, and announcements.
