OUR PURPOSE
EVCHE is a Christian homeschool support group dedicated to encourage and support families who educate their children at home. We value education based on biblical principles without government intervention, oversight, or control. We function as a co-op, building community and relationships through activities and events designed to complement the endeavors of our members.
OVERVIEW
Originally named Bethany Home Educators (BHE), our group was formed in 1985 and incorporated in 1994. We have approximately 100 families, all committed to working together for the benefit of our children. We are a Christian support group and acknowledge the need to maintain relationships with other groups, religious or secular, in order to keep abreast of political and educational trends that might effect our parental and civil liberties, or otherwise affect our ability to educate our children.
Statement of Faith
This homeschool support group believes:
- The Bible is the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God.
- There is one God and he exists from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- All men have sinned, both by nature and by act, and it is only Jesus Christ who is able, and has paid the penalty for man's sin through His substitutionary death on the cross. He then triumphed over death by His visible, bodily resurrection.
- Salvation is offered as a free gift to the sinner. This gift must be accepted by faith, not trusting in any personal work but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.
he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
