Who Are We? Citrus Christian Home Educators Association is a homeschool support group located in Citrus County, Florida.
Welcome to the Citrus Christian Home Educators Association (CCHEA)! This association was formed several years ago (1993) by a handful of Christian home school families. They shared a common dream of establishing a support group for Christian home schooling families in Citrus County. The name CCHEA was purposely selected to represent this theme.
Since 1993 membership has grown steadily. Due to the growth of CCHEA a steering committee was formed (1998). This steering committee is a group of committed individuals that facilitate the operation and management of CCHEA activities.
Membership of CCHEA as a whole is considered the “core support group”. Together the core support group can do many things. This includes providing information through the CCHEA newsletter, having CCHEA represented to other organizations, and receiving legislative updates and passing them to our membership. All CCHEA members are requested to assist in the activities that their students participate in. Your assistance may be needed in planning, leading, or in the presentation of an activity. Assistance is always needed for setting up an activity and subsequent clean up. Many activities occur annually, while others require a monthly commitment. Facilitators are required for all activities. Without your willingness to help, some activities may not happen.
