The Working Parents Homeschool Support Group is the first support group in South Florida designed to meet the needs of the working homeschool family. Although our membership is open to any homeschool family, our goals and objectives will be geared more towards the concerns of families that have working parents.
Families that work while homeschooling have a different set of concerns than traditional homeschool families. For instance, ways to keep your child academically occupied while still at work are paramount. Other topics such as carpooling possibilities, ways to get tutoring, and extra curricular activities are also addressed.
Leadership in this group consists of working moms that have successfully navigated through the homeschool process from preschool through dual enrollment in college.
Another unique feature of this group is a full time guidance counselor, Sarah Ball, who has almost a decade of experience guiding homeschool families. Sarah will be available at each meeting to answer questions ranging from dual enrollment to how to prepare high school transcripts.
Homeschooling in South Florida has changed considerably in the last ten years. The Working Parents Homeschool Support Group was designed to meet these changing needs.
We meet at the Sunshine Learning Center 1703 N. St. Rd. 7, Margate, FL 33063.
