Welcome to the website for Godly Home Educating Mothers!

GHEM (sounds like gym) has been serving home educating mothers in Prince George's County, MD and surrounding communities since June, 2001.  We represent families from Clinton, MD, Upper Marlboro, MD, Bowie MD,  Waldorf, MD, Washington, DC and other areas in the Washington D.C.. Metropolitan area.

GHEM is a private non-profit organization for Christian home educating mothers.  Our purpose is to offer support and encouragement to home schooling mothers and their families, through a variety of programs, activities and special events that minister to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the home schooling mother.

 Upcoming GHEM Meeting

Speaker: Beth Sterne

"God's Faithfulness to Change Us - Where There's Smoke - A Talk on Procrastination"

Do you put off the fragrance of Christ? Are you becoming more Christlike? Beth Sterne shares her struggle with procrastination and how that habit interfered with her spiritual growth and influence. God was faithful to reveal the root of Beth's problem to her and lead her to change. She longs for the Lord to redeem her lost years by allowing her to share what she has learned and equip women to be faithful to what God has called them to do.
