Our support group offers a variety of field trips and other activities for the family, moms and children. Some of the activities offered are the Iowa Standardized Testing, Fine Arts Festival, History Fair, Science Fair, Field Day, Graduation, Back to School Family Picnic, monthly Moms' Night Out, Moms' Winter Retreat, and many more! We are often presented with a couple of questions from prospective families, "Is there a set monthly meeting? How does your group work?" Below you will find the answers to these questions.
Is there a set monthly meeting? The answer to this question is both yes and no. No, we do not have a monthly meeting to attend, but, yes, we do have regularly scheduled events: the monthly "Moms' Night Out" is one, Girls' Club meets twice each month, and Sport Fit is currently a weekly event. We also have many activities on our calendar each month for members to attend.
How does your group work? Each member family, excluding your first year of membership, is required to serve the group in one of the following areas: host a Moms' Night Out (MNO), co-host a yearly or periodical event or organize a field trip for the group. When the details of these events are solidified, they are placed on the group calendar and made available to our member families. An announcement is made by the member hosting the event through our forum and then member families go to the calendar to sign-up for the events they wish to attend.
