Northeast Portland Homeschools
(NEPHS)
NEPHS was formed in the early 1980s to support private, non-government, Christian homeschooling in Northeast Portland. Its primary focus has always been on nourishing and encouraging homeschooling families, and providing a support structure so that member families can support and encourage each other. Over the years, our geographic base has increased from just Northeast Portland but our mission has remained the same. Our new name Nourishing and Encouraging Parents Homeschooling reflects our continuing vision.
Our members have a wide range of interests, backgrounds, and experience levels. We provide support and encouragement to one another through regular monthly meetings and annual events like Recognition Night, a Camping Trip, a fund raising book sale, and field trips put on by members for members.
