TCHE Dress Code Policy
TCHE Dress Code
For all tutors, parents and students for all TCHE activities, including, but not limited to, Co-op.
Modesty is more than dress. It is a mindset. With all the various activities taking place we need to be mindful of how we are representing ourselves physically. We want to protect our families morally as well as physically. Understanding how what you wear affects others is part of spiritual maturity.
PARENTS – You are responsible for your clothing and that of your children, including your teenagers. Failure to adhere to any of these rules will result in your returning home for modest apparel. Dress code violations will be tracked. We will be using a “3 strikes you’re out” policy which means if there are 3 recorded violations in one semester you, or your child, could be removed from TCHE at the discretion of the Leadership of team. There will be NO refunds issued if this occurs.
Dress is to be clean, neat, and modest; no offensive dress will be allowed. Please, remember that modesty is to be portrayed by both parents and students. The following explanations apply to all members:
Modesty rules will be strictly enforced.
SHORTS, SKIRTS OR DRESSES - must be no more than 2 inches above the knee with or without leggings.
LEGGINGS - Leggings are allowed as long as they are not worn in the place of pants.
NO visible undergarments – even when bending
NO writing across the backside of jeans, pants, or skirts.
NO bare midriffs – even in bending or when arms are raised
NO offensive or profane words or pictures on shirts, jackets, etc.
NO skin-tight clothing
Ladies must demonstrate additional modesty in these areas:
Developed ladies must wear appropriate undergarments; but they are NOT to be visible.
NO strapless, spaghetti-strapped, or halter tops without another modest shirt under/over them. Straps must be at least 2” in width. (Multiple straps must be secured together to meet 2”)
NO low-cut shirts without a tank top or appropriate undershirt
NO CLEAVAGE – Ladies this is easy to check. Ask someone else! Bend over in front of a mirror to check.
Little girls, preschool-5th grades, must wear shorts or leggings under their skirts.
Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation!
