LRA Statement of Faith
We Believe In...
The inerrant verbal inspiration of the Scriptures (2 Tim 3:16, 1 Pet 1:21).
The trinity of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternally coexistent personalities of the same essence (2 Cor 13:14, John 5:23, Acts 5:3-4).
The deity and virgin birth of Christ (John 1:11, Matt 1:23), His vicarious death (John 1:29), His bodily resurrection (Luke 24:36-43), His present high priestly ministry and mediatorship (1 John 2:1), and His personal visible return (Acts 1:11, Rev 19:1-20).
The personality of the Holy Spirit and His ministry of convicting (John 16:8-11) and regenerating sinners (John 3:5), and of indwelling, sealing, and empowering believers (Eph 1:13-14).
The fall of man from the state of innocence in which he was created to one of total depravity in which he is devoid of spiritual life (Gen 3:1-25) and incapable, apart from divine power, of pleasing God. (Matt 19:26).
The justification of the sinner by grace through faith alone (Eph 2:8-9).
The church universal composed of all true believers (1 Cor 12:13) and the necessity for all members of this spiritual body to assemble themselves together in local churches for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and the observance of the ordinances with the view of being equipped to carry out the great commission (Acts 2:42, Matt 28:18-20).
The reality and personality of Satan, of fallen angels, and of demon spirits (John 8:44, Matt 25:41).
The bodily resurrection of the saved in immortality (1 Cor 15:35-38) and the conscious eternal suffering in the lost (Rev 20:11-15).
The eternal realities of Heaven for the righteous and the Lake of Fire for the wicked (Phil 1:21-23, Rev 20:15).
