FEAST Football in 2014
The Patriot football program continues to do well, and the young men are growing in both the football skill set on the field as well as their character development. Competitive team sports continually put the players, coaches, and fans in situations where, in the heat of the battle, one must maintain their poise and their character. Pray for all of us as we seek His glory and not our own.
High School The Patriots are 4-2 after a recent victory over Bastrop TRIBE Consolidated. The game ended at half time with a 74 -19 score. The FEAST JV team then played 2 full quarters and also won their contest vs. the TRIBE JV. The high school team has continued to mature and get better over the season. They have only 2 more games in October before they turn their full attention and energy to preparing for the TAIAO playoffs.
High School’s November Schedule – November is playoff month and “seeding” will not be determined until the end of October
Saturday, 15th – FEAST vs. tbd – Quarterfinal opponent
Saturday, 22nd – FEAST vs. tbd – Semi Final opponent
Saturday, 29th – FEAST vs. tbd – State Final opponent
Saturday, December 6th – TAIAO All Star game - tbd
Middle School The Patriots are 3-3 as they continue to work through the “injury bug.” It has forced the team to depend on newer, younger players. Injury = Opportunity, and the players and coaches are doing their best to get these younger, newer players ready each week. It has been rewarding to see the players accelerate their learning under the coaching staff of Robert Benitez, Kevin Mc Donald, Jonathan Dagerath and Jeremy Dagerath. We are so thankful for these men and their voluntary efforts to invest in the middle school players and program.
Middle School’s November Schedule
Saturday, 8th – FEAST vs. tbd – time is tbd – played at Bastrop – TAIAO Grid Iron Bowl
Tuesday, 11th – End of Season Fellowship and equipment turn in
