GRADUATION WITH DALLAS CHRISTIAN HOME EDUCATORS

New Graduation Guidelines for those wishing to participate in the DasCHE ceremony for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year have been adopted by our Board. Please make note of the new guidelines.

The primary reason for our graduation ceremony is serve/honor those parents and students who have been members of our association and have reached the culmination of their high school efforts with at least one student.  In consideration of this, the Board has adopted the following guidelines to determine eligiability for participation in our graduation ceremonies.

• each family wishing to participate in the DaSCHE graduation ceremony be members in good standing of DaSCHE by September 1st [or the date of our first association meeting] of the year preceding the graduation year, i.e., graduating families would have to be members by September 1st of 2009 to participate in the graduation in May of 2010.
• each family wishing to participate in the DaSCHE graduation ceremony will need to have been a member of the association for at least one other year, not necessarily consecutive to their graduation year
• each family wishing to participate in the DaSCHE graduation ceremony will have home schooled the proposed graduate for at least 2 years
• each family wishing to participate in the DaSCHE graduation ceremony but not qualifying under the previously listed criteria may appeal to the DaSCHE Board for an exception, e.g., a family just arriving from an overseas mission or military assignment and not joining prior to the September 1st deadline.
