WHERE WE FELLOWSHIP...
Weekly Park Day
We meet at Foothills Park on Thursdays
from 10:30 am - Noon, Sept. - April.
This is a relaxed time for children to play and moms to talk and encourage one another in their homeschooling journey. You are encouraged to bring water bottles and sack lunches or snacks. There are restrooms inside the library and community center nearby.
There is a free skate park across the street from the playground and a community center with free game room. (Children 8 & under must have adult supervision.) A dog park is located here as well.
The Foothills Branch of the Glendale Public Library is next to the park and a great place to go afterward for free computer games/internet access, library materials, puzzles/toys for little ones to play with, study time, etc. If you are not a Glendale resident you may purchase a 3 month library card for $10.
Once a month, following park day, from noon to 3 pm we have a thematic, multi-age co op facillitated by parents in the library meeting room.
"Above all we need, particularly as children, the reassuring presence of a visible community, an intimate group that enfolds us with understanding and love, and that becomes an object of our spontaneous loyalty, as a criterion and point of reference for the rest of the human race." Lewis Mumford
