CHOOSE CT - Christian Homeschoolers Organization of Southeastern CT

OUTSIDE ACTIVITES

Part of the mission of CHOOSE CT is to provide organized activities for homeschooled children of all ages; yet, some pursuits are more effectively furnished by other institutions/groups in the community. While CHOOSE CT does not have formal partnerships with any of these organizations, we have had member students participate in their events and classes. This list is updated periodically, so check back often for additional resources.

COMMUNICATORS FOR CHRIST (CFC)
www.communicatorsforchrist.com

Christian public speaking coaches who conduct workshops and conferences aross the country. Their mission: to help Christian students become cultural communicators by learning to express themselves well. Quoting from their website, "We don't think the skills of communication, thinking clearly and speaking articulately are negotiable." CHOOSE CT generally organizes a trip to one CFC conference per year.

GENERATION JOSHUA (GenJ)
www.generationjoshua.org

Designed for Christian students ages 11-19, Generation Joshua focuses on returning America to her Judeo-Christian foundations through hands-on activities and various other learning opportunities. A member-based program, the educational commitment of Generation Joshua is to teach and train students in civic responsibility. CHOOSE CT has had students participate in this group on an individual basis.

TeenPact LEADERSHIP SCHOOL
www.teenpact.com

A comprehensive leadership program for both teens and younger children, TeenPact operates during state legislative sessions. It gives students the opportunity to meet government officials, interview lobbyists, view campaign disclosures, conduct their own mock legislature, analyze public policy from a Biblical World view, and more. Like Generation Joshua, CHOOSE CT students have participated in this group on an individual basis.
