HR STEERING COMMITTEE: STEVE AND YVONNE DODGE

Steve and Yvonne Dodge were married in June of 1982 and after a great deal of research, they began home schooling their four lovely daughters in 1995. Through their school, Dodge Academy of Excellence, they have taught students of all ages, preschool through high school, utilizing a wide variety of resources. Their experience includes addressing learning challenges such as auditory and visual processing problems. The Dodges also have a great deal of experience working with Christian courtship models and have quite successfully avoided the contemporary dating scene. All four of their daughters have graduated from their home school and are married  and beginning families of their own.

The Dodges have served House on the Rock as founders and steering committee members since the group’s inception in 2002. In 2005, they were selected for the “Home School Support Group Leader of the Year Award” through Christian Home Educators of Colorado. Steve and Yvonne are strong proponents of Christian home education and are striving to preserve home schooling freedoms for future generations. With a love of bringing new families into the fold, Steve and Yvonne believe they bring experience and vision to House on the Rock.

Although Steve and Yvonne have entered a new season of life, namely empty nesting and grandparenting, their involvement in the home schooling community continues today. They are blessed to serve.  I Timothy 1:12
