August 2009: Lakeshore Policy on Fundraising effective immediately:
Lakeshore sponsors ONE mandatory fundraiser which is pocketpeelers. The profits from this fundraiser go directly to the organization to defray cost. Each family has the choice to sell the pocketpeelers or “buy out” by donating to the organization the same amount of money which they would have raised.
Admission and concession money requires the cooperation of all Lakeshore families. All proceeds from these two money makers goes toward paying for the building and the referees. Any food sales at home games (including bake sales) will also go toward building and referee fees because bake sales do cut into concession sales significantly. No team or individual families shall benefit from concessions and admissions.
LCHSA will also endorse team fundraisers for teams that wish to raise money for a specific board-approved purpose (i.e. – an extra tournament, a sport camp, etc.), in which case, the funds will have to go through the Lakeshore treasurer.
LCHSA will not take part in any fundraising event in which the funds are to go to individual families to reduce their personal expenses. How ever a family chooses to raise money for their own expenses is a private matter and will not be controlled or endorsed by LCHSA.
