Miller?s Spring-Summer 2008 Art Contest

 DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO AUGUST 16

Theme: ?Nature ? God?s Canvas?

Medium: Colored Pencils 

Size: Up to and including 11x14?

Age Groups:  1)  Age 5 and under,   Age 6 to 9,    Age 10 to 12,  &   Age 13 to 18.

Contest dates: May 1^st through August 1^st, 2008

Contest Rules

***Please follow the contest rules exactly to avoid disqualification.

1)      One entry per child or student. The art contest is open to students in all 50 states and Canada.  We will advertise the contest at conventions, at our store

 

 

      and on Miller Pads and Paper?s website.  If you are an art instructor, please

2)      tell your students originality is important.  If we receive 10 of a similar drawing, it takes away from their work. 

3)      Colored Pencils are the medium, you may sketch in pencil first.

4)      Each painting must have the artists Name, Address, Email Address and Phone Number on the back of the picture.  This information will be used for returning art work, if you wish it returned, and contacting the winners. 

5)       If you would like your art work returned to you, please send a check or money order in the amount it cost you to ship the picture to us.  If you don?t want your art work returned, you don?t need to send any funds, and we will use them to decorate Miller?s Art and Educational Supply Store!  Please note that we will do our best to protect your art work, but can?t be held responsible for lost or damaged art work due to negligence of the Postal Service.     

6)      Your art work will be judged by a panel of artists and art experts.

7)      All art work must be received by midnight August 1^st , 2008. (No exceptions)

8)      We will judge the art work on August 4^th.  Winners will be posted on our website by August 8^th , 2008. 

9)      First, Second and Third prizes will be awarded for each age group.

10)  First Prize winners will receive a $25.00 Gift certificate and a specially selected Art Kit.

      Second and Third Prize winners will receive a specially selected Art Kit.

11)  Gift Certificates may be used on any catalog, website or store item(s) that are in stock from Miller Pads and Paper.  Please observe expiration dates.
