COMMUNITY SERVICE
Our purpose is to work together to serve, providing practical help to both CHESS members and others, and in so doing to be a positive testimony for Christ and home education, building bridges into the greater mid-Michigan community.
If you have any questions, please contact William and Marilyn Wagner, our Community Service Coordinators.
Areas of Ministry
Generation Joshua
The purpose of GenJ clubs, nationally, is to train our youth (ages 12-18) to be effective, well-rounded citizens for Christ, and to equip them with the tools necessary to maintain liberty and exercise self government.
LightKeepers Community Service
Families living out Matthew 5:16 ("Let your light shine before men...") so that our children learn the value and blessing of service, allowing our heavenly Father to be glorified.
Manna Ministry
Manna ministry provides meals to CHESS members that could benefit because of the birth of a new baby, adoption, hospital stay, or other transition times in life.
Prayer Ministry
CHESS Prayer Ministry is here for you! We would love to pray for you and your family specifically. Please send your prayer request to our CHESS Prayer Coordinator and they will pass your request to CHESS membership to join in praying for you OR the Prayer Coordinator can keep the request confidential and partner in prayer for you themself.
Public Policy/Legislative Updates
We'll make every attempt to keep you informed of state and national issues and legislation which may affect homeschoolers, including contact information that will allow you to reach your elected officials and let your voice be heard! Learn how to write an effective letter to your congressman.
