Our purpose is to provide quality family events which will help strengthen CHESS family relations and provide opportunity to connect with other homeschoolers through monthly special events.

September Back-to-School Kickoff
An old fashioned pot luck and field games for all CHESS families to fellowship as we kick-off the new school year.
October Hayride/Orchard Trip October 17, 12:30-4:00
A great fall family outing to the MSU Experimental Station to pick fruit and enjoy fellowship.
October Fall Festival October 31
A wholesome evening of fun: hayride, games, stories, treats, prizes, and other activities. This is our family-friendly alternative to Halloween.
December Gingerbread Houses December 4
Assemble, decorate and take home your own "gingerbread" (graham cracker) house.
January Family Fun Night
An evening to enjoy playing games with your children, usually at the YMCA.
FebruaryDaddy/Daughter Dance A special night for dads and their daughters to celebrate St. Valentines Day.
February/March "A Time Apart" Women's Retreat
A wonderful time for moms to take a much needed break for encouragement and refreshment.
March Mother/Son Event
A time for moms & sons to have some fun together playing laser tag at Zap Zone!
An evening set aside for couples to fellowship with each other.
April Spring Fling
May/June Field Day
Bring the kids for a morning filled with challenging and fun field events. Competing only against themselves, everyone is a winner
June Year-End Celebration
School is done! It's graduation time! Recognize your children's progress and officially reward them for completing another year!
Summer Family Camping
A summer get away, for the weekend or longer, in the great outdoors, with other like-minded homeschool families! Camping may be in state park campgrounds or Christian camps in MI.
