VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

*HOLE IN THE ROOF MINISTRY has two needs:

1.  Computer Training.....We are in need of people to help with our computer lab.  We have an immense interest in clases that teach basic computer skills and computer skills needed for employment.  If you, or someone you know, would like to teach a class, please contact our office:  314-558-1383   or e-mail us at holeintheroof@sbcglobal.net   Also, if you are experienced in assembling, formatting, and other computer maintenance, we are in need of your help too.

2.  After School Tutoring....Hole in the Roof Ministry Center is located within the St. Louis City Public School District.  Unfortunately, this school district is currently unaccredited.  The district's 2006 graduation rate was roughly 55% and the dropout rate nearly 19%.  More than 60% of 10th graders scored at a level below basic in math on state standardized tests.   This fall, we would like to start our After School Tutoring program that will help children of all ages gain success in their studies.  Our goal is to have one tutor for each two children.  If you would like to help in this outreach program, please contact our office as soon as you can.
