FAQ'S

Q:

What is the purpose of Christ's Church Homeschoolers?

A:

Christ's Church Homeschoolers exists to encourage and support families who have chosen to home educate their children.  We accomplish this through weekly classes for the children, as well as field trips, parties, and other educational and social activities.

Q:

What classes does CCHS offer?

A:

As most of our classes are taught by parents in the group, the specific choices depend on what our parents are able and/or willing to teach.  Classes for the elementary-aged children do tend to be more elective in nature, with options like P.E., Art, and Music.  Our middle school classes generally become more focused on academics, as indicated by our classes in Composition or Marine Biology.  For a sampling of classes offered, please refer to the "Sample Class Descriptions" download in the Publications/Articles section of this website.

Q:

All parents must serve in the classroom for one hour of our two hours of regular Friday programming.  In most cases this role will be as a classroom assistant.  Only those who specifically volunteer to do so will be called on to actually teach a class.

Does CCH have a Statement of Faith?

CCH does have a Statement of Faith that sets us apart as a Christian group.  Members are not required to sign this document.  To view our Statement of Faith, look for the "Parent Info Packet" download in the Publications/Articles section of this website.

How does one sign up with CCH?

Currently CCH membership is at the maximum allowance of 200 children.  A waiting list is available, but due to the fact that turnover is quite low and the current wait list is nearing 50 families, the chance of securing a spot is minimal.
