4-H
4-H is a fun, educational program for young people, ages 5-18. Joining a 4-H club is a great way to have fun, learn new things and meet people. Clubs meet in schools, community centers or at a 4-H volunteer's home. No membership fees are required, although some project materials and activities may have a cost.
The best way to determine what's right for you is to contact the 4-H office or your local County Cooperative Extension office.

Beta Club
The National Beta Club promotes character, develops leadership skills, encourages service involvement, recognizes achievement, and provides technological advantages to students in grades 5 - 12. Beta Clubs are student led organizations.
The Brevard HEAT offers a Beta Club that meets the first Monday of each month at Grant Street Community Center.

Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts
Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys age 11 - 17. Boys who are 10 may join if they have received the Arrow of Light Award or have finished the fifth grade. Boy Scouting is a program of fun outdoor activities, peer group leadership opportunities, and a personal exploration of career, hobby and special interests, all designed to achieve the BSA's objectives of strengthening character, personal fitness and good citizenship.
Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting.

Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world.
Girl Scouts are divided into Daisy Girl Scouts (ages 5-6), Brownie Girl Scouts (ages 6-8), Junior Girl Scouts (ages 8-11), and STUDIO 2BSM for girls ages 11-17.
There is a troop present at Calvary Chapel and as a member of our homeschool group you are welcome to join in.

Sea Cadets
The Sea Cadets have come to Melbourne!! The David McCampbell Battalion, Naval Sea Cadets Corps, and Training Ship Lassen, Navy League Cadets Corps, are now accepting new members.
Boys and girls ages 11 to 17 are welcome to join for challenge, adventure, leadership, friendship, and fun! Sea Cadets allows young people to explore many exciting areas such as ships, airplanes, medicine, law, law enforcement, firefighting, music, culinary arts, and much more!

Young Marines
Young Marines is a youth program for boys and girls ages 8-18, that focuses on character building, leadership, and the values of honor, courage, and commitment. Activities include physical fitness, close order drill, community service, camping, archery, marksmanship, amateur radio, aviation, and much more.
This is NOT a program that leads to enlistment, but rather is a program that builds future leaders for our country. It is intended to develop WELL ROUNDED, AMERICAN CITIZENS in a fun and meaningful way.
