MISSION STATEMENT AND PHILOSOPHY

Mission Statement:

 

CHEC exists to provide encouragement and social contact for home educators in the Carthage area -- to help parents shape their child's heart through Christian discipleship and to feed their minds through education.

 

"Bring up your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."  Ephesians 6:4

 

Philosophy:

 

What a privilege and blessing it is to be able to freely train up our children in the Lord -- Amen! As parents, we take seriously the responsibility of building a firm moral foundation in our children based upon Biblical principles. We choose to accept the challenge of instructing our children in all areas of growth and development. We are convinced that a home education provides an ideal learning environment. May we, by the grace of God, prepare our children for the whole of life -- spiritually, academically, emotionally, socially, and physically.
