MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

The following steps must be followed before new membership in the CHEC Homeschool Support Group is granted:

1. Fill out the online registration form including all required fields. Our website is private and password-protected, and only members can see this information. Your private information will never be sold or shared outside of the group without your permission.
2. Pay the annual dues of $15 by check made out to CHEC.
3. Agree to membership requirements as follows:

• Read, and express agreement with, our Statement of Faith and Mission Statement. CHEC is a Christian group and will run according to general Christian principles.
• Understand, and home educate in compliance with, Missouri state law.
• Read the Activity Agreement and agree to adhere to the guidelines for activity behavior.
  
• Check email and the website weekly or enough to know what is happening with the group.
  
• Keep information on the website current - including contact and children's information.
  
• Prayerfully consider helping others in the group by volunteering if needed, and pursue opportunities to connect with others through means provided by the group.
  
• Understand and agree that CHEC is not a legally organized corporation, and therefore has no officers or insurance. Evaluating the safety and age-appropriateness of activities sponsored by CHEC, or its members, is the responsibility of parents. In all group-sponsored activities, attendees and members assume liability for their own actions, will not hold group leaders liable, and will rely on their own insurance or other means to cover any accidents which require treatment for themselves or their children.
  

Once these steps are completed, your membership application will be approved, and website access will be granted.

Currently we have openings for membership. Out of necessity in the future we may need to limit the number of members.

Membership runs from July 1 of one year to June 30 of the following year. Full year's dues are paid regardless of when you join.

We recommend that members join FHE and HSLDA. CHEC offers a group discount number for HSLDA.
