CHAMPs Homeschool Co-op

INSTRUMENTAL - BANDS/ORCHESTRAS

Guitar Classes

Guitar group classes are for new and continuing students at beginning and intermediate levels.  Students considered to be at an advanced level will be better served by an individual class.  Beginners will learn the fundamentals of good technique, music reading, playing melody and chords, finger-style, and basic strumming patterns over the course of the first year.  Intermediate and advanced students will build on previous experience.  Although we will use a book-based guitar course, we will not confine ourselves to that music alone.  All students are expected to participate in the Christmas and Spring CHAMPs concerts.  A commitment from both students and parents to regular practice is a MUST for this class!  The students who practice WILL progress, develop their skills quickly, and learn a real love for this instrument and making music in general!
