CO-OP CLASSES

All Co-op Classes are $5 per month to cover the building fee.  They are taught by parent or student volunteers, so there is no teacher fee.  If material fees are necessary, you will be told prior to the first class, unless otherwise noted.

 

Note:  These classes are also listed among the teacher-paid classes, but are indicated here separately to make them easy to find.

Hand Sewing Co-op

Hand Sewing is a lost art.  In our disposable world, whatever we tear, we toss.  In this class, we will learn a variety of useful hand stitches for mending, embellishing, and creating fun projects.  We’ll be mending a favorite garment, creating a sock monkey with clothes, neck tie cell phone bag, and a blue jean pocket purse.  Parents are welcome to attend and sew along.

 

Students will provide fabric for projects from their own closets.  A sewing kit list will be provided upon enrollment.

French Club / Conversation Co-op

Practice pronunciation and improve skills.  The purpose of taking a language, (other than satisfying a high school/college requirement) is to be able to communicate with others!  High school and adults will be at 2:30, children up through junior high (8th) will have activities at 3:00.  Plan on doing short conversations, skits, examining some French stories (folk or literature, depending on your age), and a little singing!

TIME:  High school and up: 2:30 – 3:00; Age 7 and up: 3:00 – 3:30

Speed Stacks Co-op

This course will teach stacking routines for performance speed stacks.

AGE:  6 years & up

TIME:  Class time will be determined based on enrollment.

MAT’L FEE:  A group sports stacks order will be placed at the beginning of the year.  Prices start at around $35.

 

 

Volleyball Co-op

INSTRUCTOR:  Mike Walker or Scott Schmidt

AGE:  10 -13 years or 14 years and up

TIME:  10 -13 years: 2:30 – 2:55 pm (Walker); 14 years and up: 9:10-9:55 (Schmidt), 3:00 – 3:55 pm (Walker)

MIN/MAX:  Min 12 students for Mike Walker’s class; Max 12 students for Scott Schmidt’s class

CLASS FEE:  Building fee only

Preschool Playtime Co-op

Playtime with preschool activities.
