2009-2010 Wrap Up!

As we come to the close of another school year, it marks the end of a decade of FEAST Co-op classes. What a glorious decade it has been. A vision that began as a few classes at the old homedome, some fifteen years ago, transformed into a full blown Co-op in 2000. We have been so blessed by the many families and teachers who have been involved. Taking your suggestions and recommendations, we have watched a beautiful transformation into an entity that offers a variety of classes that are meeting the needs, offering alternatives, all while being part of a thriving community.
Thanks Teachers, Staff and Alumni for the great decade; pray for plans underway as we start the next decade! Teachers have submitted their paperwork and Lord willing, we will have all classes posted on the website in June. All families enrolled in the 2009-2010 year will be the first to get to register for Fall 2010 classes.

You may reach the co-op staff by email co-op@homeschoolfeast.com

FEAST is planning on offering co-op classes for
specials needs children next semester.

In an effort to serve you more effectively, we need your feedback. Has your child been diagnosed with a learning disorder? If so, what was the diagnosis? How old is your child? Do you feel this would be beneficial to your family? Would your child be physically able to attend a weekly class? Would your family be able to financially afford a reasonable fee of $10. per week? (Depending on the requirements, fees may vary.)

Please submit your confidential answers to manna@homeschoolfeast.com

Co-op with FEAST and experience for yourself!

The FEAST Co-op program is a great way to get your child involved with other home school children as they participate together in academics and electives.

OUR PURPOSE
The primary purpose for the FEAST Teaching Co-op is to provide additional options for parents as they continue to seek the Lord for His provision for their children's education. It is also to give an opportunity for members of the Body of Christ to make their gifts and talents available to others. It is not the purpose of FEAST to undermine the authority or confidence of parents in any way. Neither can it be a replacement for parent involvement. An added bonus is the opportunity to encourage one another through Christian fellowship.

OUR SCHEDULE
Classes are in session for the Fall semester, September - December and for the Spring Semester, January - April. The classes meet once a week on Thursdays and the student (s) will be given assignments to perform at home under parental
supervision.

OUR TEACHERS
We thank the Lord for every one of our teachers. Without their talents and skills our co-op would not have flourished as much as it has in the last 9 years. They are all  approved by the FEAST Co-op office with a minimum of two references. Their teaching materials have also been approved and all classes are taught from a Biblical, Christian worldview. Our teachers are self-employed, independent contractors.

OUR FEES
Annual registration fees are $50 per child or $100 for the family.
Registration, first tuition, and class supply fees are all due by August 17.  Registrations will be accepted throught the summer by appointment only.  To schedule your appointment. You must pay $50 to FEAST to submit your registration.

Individual class fees range from $20 - $50 a month and are set by each teacher. Supply fees may be required and are also set by the teachers. Tuition and supply fee checks must be made payable to the teacher and delivered to the Co-op Office. A $10 fee will be charged for late payment. Registration fees must be made payable to FEAST. Tuition is due the first class day of the month. All paid fees are non-refundable.

OUR GUIDELINES
The FEAST Co-op is not a typical school situation. The parent is completely responsible for their child/children even while they are at co-op. This being said we have instituted rules and guidelines which are given out in our  co-op orientation. All parents and students must attend this orientation when registering for the FEAST Co-op. You can view and print out a copy of our handbook by clicking  Co-op Guidelines. Teacher Guidelines are available here.
