Our Preschool Department provides care and developmental activities for children from birth to 4 year olds each Monday from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Preschoolers are assigned their rooms according to their age and developmental stage. Moreover, there are two teachers per room at all times in order to provide a safe and nurturing environment. We have infant and child CPR certified teachers in the preschool department at all times.
We believe that learning begins from day one, so all babies up through Pre-K are exposed to Bible Stories, music, hands-on activities, crafts, outdoor play and more presented by moms who have been screened in an application and training process. They provide opportunities each Monday for preschoolers to learn more about our world through age appropriate activities designed to promote developmental and cognitive skills.
There are activities scheduled that will promote gross motor skill development, fine motor skills, music time for cognitive development, rest time, snack time, lunch time, story time and outdoor play. Each Monday the preschoolers are taken outside (weather permitting) for playground time or a walk to promote exercise and gross motor skills. When the weather does not permit outdoor play and exercise, an indoor gym or large multi-purpose room is used for directed play time.
A schedule is followed each day to promote a sense of security and well being. Parents fill out an information card with pertinent information about their preschooler such as: allergies, special needs, who will be allowed to pick up their child, etc.
