GBACH offers many fun and exciting events as well as opportunities for learning! Since we are a volunteer organization, other programs are added or recommended as new ideas present themselves.

Art Classes — Offered through the Green Bay School of Art/Artworks Studio. 

Ballet Classes — Offered through the Green Bay School of Dance.

Book-It — A reading incentive program offered through Pizza Hut for children grades  K-6.

Boy’s Basketball Team — See information below on NEWCHAA.

Box Tops For Education Program — collecting box tops help our group earn equipment and funds for various programs.

Christmas Gathering — Participants gather at a local nursing home to sing Christmas carols and visit the residents.

Contenders of the Faith/Keepers At Home — A Christian approach to scouting for both boys and girls.

Curriculum Fair — Provides members and the community the opportunity to preview various curriculums that are available.

Election Committee — Makes sure the board candidates meet the requirements to run and serve on the board as outlined in the bylaws.

Elocution Clubs — Elocution means the effective art of public speaking. Children meet to do an oral presentation for one another.

Father and Child Campout — This is an annual fall event where fathers, along with their children participate in a weekend camp experience with other homeschooling families in our group.

Father/Daughter Valentine Dance — Fathers have the opportunity to accompany their daughters to a dance and focus on their relationships and just have fun together.

Field Trips — A wide variety are offered each year and organized by individual member families.

Geography Bee — Students in grades four through eight are eligible for this entertaining and challenging test of geographic knowledge.

Geography Fair — This annual fall event is an opportunity for students from k-12 to present a country or region, past or present and share what they learned or found most interesting in many different subject areas (history, sociology, topical geography, cultural, religious, the arts…..) related to their chosen country.

Graduation Ceremony

Great America Six Hour Reading Program — Students in grades K - sixth complete six hours of independent, non-school related reading to earn a free admission ticket to Six Flags Great America.  Each teacher whose children participate in this Club is also eligible to receive a free admission ticket.

Gym Class — Fall and Winter gym classes are offered.

Homeschool Band

Hosanna Choir — Students will learn the basics of vocal performance and enhance a love for singing.

Ice Skating — Open skating and classes at DePere Ice Center.

Library Art Display

Mom’s Night Out — This is a chance for Mom’s to get out and enjoy each other’s company.

NEWCHAA Athletics — Northeast Wisconsin Christian Homeschoolers Athletic Association (NEWCHAA) offers competitive sports to homeschooled students.  Sports that were formerly sponsored by GBACH such as Girl's Volleyball and Basketball, and Boy's Basketball are now provided through NEWCHAA.  Student's families do not need to be members of GBACH to participate in NEWCHAA athletics.  For details and requirements, please see NEWCHAA.

Parent Pot Luck

Presidential Service Award — Students track their service hours to qualify for this national award program.

Project Fair — An event in which the students can bring ANY and ALL projects they have made throughout the year.

Solo and Ensemble — This is an opportunity for homeschoolers to participate in an annual music competition. Medals are awarded to participants based on their placing.

Spelling Bee

Spring Track & Field — Held in April and May at Notre Dame High School Track.

Summer Picnic — End of the year event at a local park.  All families are invited.

Swim Classes — Through the YWCA.

Talent Show — The talent show is held in May and includes all homeschooled youngsters who wish to share a talent in a program format.

Teen Group — Activities are chaperoned, non-dating events such as game nights, roller skating, hayride, downhill skiing, dances, and more.

Used Book Sale — The used book sale in June is the opportunity for GBACH members to sell unneeded homeschool materials and is open to member buyers and the public.
