ATHLETICS

Our purpose is to glorify God through athletic competition. It is our desire that Jesus Christ be expressed and glorified in the lives of coaches, parents, and students not only in actions, but also in words and deeds.

We offer Bowling, Volleyball, and Basketball. To participate, you must be a member of GCHE, a homeschooled student, and willing to obey the Activity Rules and Athletic Handbook including the dress code.

Bowling Leagues -

We are planning two GCHE Bowling Leagues for the September 2009 – April 2010 season. The Green Shirt League is for GCHE students from ages 9 though 12. The Varsity League is for ages 13 and up. NO experience necessary. You can learn as you bowl! We meet once a week and play 3 games as teams or singles. Two parties a year with fun, food, awards, trophies! This sport can count on your high school transcript as 1 credit of Athletics - Bowling League. High schoolers can also earn a varsity letter and pins. Participants have bowled on All Star teams and gone to various tournaments. Be part of a growing national sport!

Volleyball -

The season for the Girls Stars Volleyball Teams is from mid August to the end of October. Practices are already underway. Our Green and White team (ages 14 and under) practices once a week with one game per week. The JV team may practice twice a week with one or two games per week during the season.

Basketball -

We are blessed to announce that we have 3 committed basketball coaches to lead our young men and women of GCHE. Therefore we are moving ahead with organization and team registration. Practices are being planned for two nights a week beginning in late September. Once the season starts, we are anticipating playing one game per week.
