First Friday Mass Responsibilities:

In order to maintain a calm and orderly environment at Schoenstatt, we need 6 parents each month to work in the following areas:  Two people will be scheduled to watch young children in the playroom during confession time.  Two people will be scheduled to manage the flow of the confession sign up list. (One will stay in the chapel area and make sure someone is always in there during Adoration.  The other will be a "floater", notifying families when it is their turn for confession.)   The last two people will be assigned to the main room to facilitate board games and quiet play for older children inside and/or watch children outside on the playground, weather permitting.  (The Sisters require that an adult must be present outside if children are playing.)

You will be assigned to three (3) First Friday dates, but you must select a minimum of five (5) dates to make scheduling more feasible.

Liturgical and Family Parties

Throughout the school year SHH hosts four parties tied to the church's liturgical year.  We need members to volunteer their time and talent organizing these events.

You will be assigned to one (1) party date, but you must select a minimum of two (2) dates to make scheduling more feasible.

The party coordinator will be responsible for calling the other families and setting up a time to do your party planning at least two (2) months in advance.  If you are selected to be an party coordinator, you will be relieved of one of your 1st Friday assignments.  Are you willing to be an party coordinator?

The 2009 Survey results indicated an interest in more field trips and on days other than Fridays.  We would like to find some volunteers to organize some field trips for the group.  Would you be willing to be an SHH field trip organizer?

The following ideas were suggested from the surveys returned:  open play @ KEVA, board game night, movie night, boy's football team, volunteer service work, soap making class, more middle school activites, etc...   Let us know if you would like to volunteer to organize one of the above or something else!!  SHH is your group....  If you want something to be offered, try to organize it!!

We are Catholic Homeschoolers.  We file PI-1206 for at least one school aged child in our family, or are planning to file PI-1206 when our children reach school age.  Our children are being raised Catholic. 

We are not Catholic, but we are homeschoolers who file PI-1206 for at least one school aged child in our family, or we are planning to do so when our children reach school age.  We are interested in learning more about The Catholic Faith.  We agree to respect the precepts of the Catholic Faith and understand that our SHH Membership will be terminated if we do not.

I understand that in order for my application to be complete I need to send in my registration fee of $30.00 on or before September 2, 2009.
