Artnatomy
Artnatomy was born for artists and animators, but I've been surprised by knowing how it is being also very useful for people working in other disciplines: psychologists (in order to study how emotions are revealed), neurologists (they use it to explain their pacients and pupils how some brain diseases affect the face mimic), dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aesthetics (who teach facial gymnastics), even actors! I'm really glad of the results and working now in a 3d versión and a more extended figure atlas, so I'll keep you informed about news. Hope it can help those that face the daily task of learning and teaching.

So be sure to consult this page from time to time, and help yourself to the latest versions of the programs.

In addition to programs, we will post here other items of interest relating to the book, such as the current errata sheet (see below). The other side of the coin is that we invite your comments about the content of the book, the programs, any errors that you may discover, or whatever. You can send us your comments by e-mail if you wish.

The book is a selection of the Library of Science.

American School
American School's President's Message

Greetings,

Education has been much in the news these days. There is a nationwide concern about preparing young people for career opportunities in the 21st century. As a result, graduation requirements have been changing to include more subjects which are considered important in preparing to take advantage of these career opportunities.

The American School shares this commitment to giving students the needed basic skills to succeed in their education after high school or in whatever field or endeavor they undertake. This is why we have broadened our graduation requirements to 18 units and to include more required study in certain subject areas.

The American School is justly proud of the achievements of its graduates. We stand ready to assist our students as they progress through our current program towards graduation, and we look forward to their future achievements!

Sincerely,

Gary R. Masterton
President

Elements of Style
Free Rice
FreeRice has two goals:

Provide English vocabulary to everyone for free.
Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.

This is made possible by the sponsors who advertise on this site.

FreeRice has a custom database containing thousands of words at varying degrees of difficulty. There are words appropriate for people just learning English and words that will challenge the most scholarly professors.

FreeRice automatically adjusts to your level of vocabulary. It starts by giving you words at different levels of difficulty and then, based on how you do, assigns you an approximate starting level. You then determine a more exact level for yourself as you play. When you get a word wrong, you go to an easier level. When you get three words in a row right, you go to a harder level. This one-to-three ratio is best for keeping you at the "outer fringe" of your vocabulary, where learning can take place.

There are 50 levels in all, but it is rare for people to get above level 48.

Early Advantage's products are attuned to the "window of opportunity" years for learning that science now shows can give a child an advantage for life. MUZZY, created by the British Broadcasting Corporation, has given millions of children, parents, and teachers, worldwide, an early start on a second language. It was first brought to the U.S. by longtime publisher David Ward. Kiddie Records Weekly
Kiddie Records Weekly began in 2005 as a one year project devoted to the golden age of children's records. This period spanned from the mid forties through the early fifties and produced a wealth of all-time classics. Many of these recordings were extravagant Hollywood productions on major record labels and featured big time celebrities and composers.
Over the years, these forgotten treasures slipped off the radar and it became our mission to give them a new lease on life by sharing them with today's generation of online listeners. Each week throughout the year we added a new recording and before we knew it, our one year project turned into three! Although we will not be continuing beyond 2007, Kiddie Records Weekly will remain online and we will update the Bonus Records section every now and then.

Math U See

It includes memorization, but it also encompasses learning the concepts that are critical to problem solving.

Mansfield Homeschoolers
We mostly live in or near Mansfield, Texas. An important goal of the group is to make Mansfield a cozy place to homeschool. We are trying to bloom where we have been planted. We do this by getting information out about homeschooling (so that no one should be in the darkness of ignorance), setting a good example for homeschooling by doing the best individual job of homeschooling and raising our kids that we can, working with different venues in getting more amenities in Mansfield for homeschoolers (Mansfield Activities Center, Mansfield Library, gymnastics/swimming/karate schools, etc.), and participating in community service at the Mansfield Nursing Home and other Mansfield locations.
