The JBAB Home Educators website is a safe, secure, and private website. The only people who have access to JBABHE's content are JBABHE members.

Benefits of a JBABHE Membership:

  • Discounted membership to Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA)

  • Age-specific social groups with opportunities for home school children to mix

  • Participate in proctored annual testing

  • Opportunities in academic based fairs, conferences and competitions

  • Information for additional military-focused student and family opportunities and events

Our organization is governed by a constitution and by-laws, which may be accessed and reviewed through the “Additional Resources” section of the website after signing up.

How do I Join?

 After filling out the "Request Membership" form with your information, you will be asked to pay an annual membership fee of $30 due within 3 weeks of when you "Request Membership” or you will have to resubmit your application. Methods of payment are Paypal, personal check, money order, or bank check mailed directly to JBAB Home Educators at the address below.  We cannot process your application until we receive your family's annual membership fee and, for security purposes, you connect with our Welcome Coordinator.  Our Welcome Coordinator will be contacting you once you submit your "Request Membership" and she/he will  be happy to answer any addition questions you may have.

This is what the membership fee covers:

  • Annual website and PO Box costs                             

  • JBABHE-sponsored events

  • Supplies and scholarships

  • All other expenditures approved under the constitution and by-laws.

The fee is $15 if you are signing up after January 1st of the academic year. *Paypal is available for a fee of $1.50 (You do not need a Paypal account to use this feature - you can checkout as a guest). Please send your check or money order to:

By signing up for JBAB Home Educators, I understand that during the year pictures will be taken and I give consent to have them published in JBAB Home Educators publications or advertising.  If I would like my pictures restricted from use in the yearbook and JBAB newspaper, it is my responsibility to inform the JBABHE Board of Directors via email (info@jbabhe.com) that I am selecting that option below!  Please put a subject heading of "Restrict Photos From Advertising Notification" and please include your family name, as well as your children's names, in the body of the email.

JBAB Home Educators guidelines:
Annual membership is from July 1 through June 30.

1. After filling out a form with your information, you will be asked to pay an annual membership fee of $30 due within three weeks of when you "Request Membership" or your application is deleted.

2. Returning members must pay the renewal fee of $30.00 (or $31.50 via Paypal) by July 1 in order to continue membership in the coming year. Please pay with checks or paypal only.

3. I understand membership in JBAB Home Educators means Every Member Participates (EMP) and me and/or my spouse willingly agree to volunteer 12 hours in sharing our passions and skills, without monetary gain, by teaching a class, leading a field trip, organizing an event, or scheduling an activity.  I understand if my family encounters unforeseen challenges to meet this requirement, I will notify a board member for board recommendations.  

4. I understand e-mail and the JBABHE Homeschool-life website is the primary method of communication so checking e-mail and the JBABHE website regularly will keep me up-to-date on important notifications, events, activities, and information. Even though JBABHE uses Facebook, I understand the primary method of communication is through the JBABHE website (there is an app from Homeschool-life available for download).The Facebook group is open to JBABHE members only. To join the JBABHE Facebook group, notify the Facebook group administrator.

*The only persons who can view the age and grade of your children are the JBAB HE adminstration.                                                                                                   

6. My family and I agree to be respectful of others in my speech and actions, choice of apparel,and also ensure my family members will follow these  standards as well. This includes email, Facebook and the website. I acknowledge my sole responsibility of my own children at any activity or event with JBABHE. Of note: JBABHE follows the Youth Protection guidance concerning youth to adult supervision ratios while using government facilities per JBAB legal policies.
