GCCHS is a Christian homeschool support group in the League City, Friendswood, Clear Lake, Seabrook, Pasadena, Santa Fe, Pearland, Alvin, Webster, Dickinson, Nassau Bay and Kemah areas of Texas. We have over 175 member families with children of all ages.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT: GCCHS is a support group of Christian families sharing friendship, emotional support, prayer, home education resources, and group activities. We welcome all families who are seriously considering or who have chosen to home educate any or all of their children.

ABOUT US: While we are Christian in our approach to our group, homeschooling, and life in general, we do not exclude any family, regardless of spiritual background.

Our group is lead by a volunteer group of seven "Steering Committee" members in a rather informal fashion, and does not hold regular full group meetings. Because we are a support group (and not a co-op), it means that all of our events are voluntary. We encourage members to find ways that they can participate and/or "give back" to our group, but no one is required to contribute in any way.

We support various activities, clubs, parties, and field trips. These events are generally open to all family members, but some activities have limitations such as age of children, number of participants, etc. For more information on typical activities, and the group in general, see the "More About Us" link on the left of the page.

If you would like to join this group, please fill out an online application by clicking on the "Register for Site Access" link on the left. Our membership year runs from August 1st to July 31st, but new members are welcome to join at any time of year.  Our membership fee is $30 per year if you join or renew during the months of August through December. Our membership fee is discounted to $25 if you join or renew during the months of June or July. If you join during the months of January through May, dues are pro-rated to $15. Dues are to be paid each year in August, with the exception of any member that just joined or renewed during June or July. June or July joiners or renewers will not be expected to pay dues again until August of the following year.
