GCCHS, Inc. is a Christian homeschool support group in the League City, Friendswood, Clear Lake, Seabrook, Pasadena, Santa Fe, Pearland, Alvin, Webster, Dickinson, Nassau Bay and Kemah areas of Texas. We have over 300 member families with children of all ages.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT: GCCHS, Inc. is a support group of Christian families sharing friendship, emotional support, prayer, home education resources, and group activities. We welcome all families who are seriously considering or who have chosen to home educate any or all of their children.
ABOUT US: GCCHS, Inc. is an inclusively Christian homeschooling support group. We are Christian in our approach to this group, homeschooling, and life in general. The leadership of this group agrees to a statement of faith prior to serving and agrees to make their decisions for the group based upon it. However, we do not exclude any family that desires to join our group, regardless of spiritual background.
GCCHS, Inc. is led by a volunteer group of seven Steering Committee members. We do not hold regular group meetings, but do have an annual kick-off meeting each August to introduce some of the activities that will be offered in the upcoming school year. Because we are a support group (and not a co-op), it means that all of our events are voluntary. We encourage members to find ways that they can volunteer to help. Activities planned for a given year will take place only if we can find a variety of members willing to help with a given activity.
We support various activities, clubs, parties, and field trips. These events are generally open to all family members, but some activities have limitations such as age of children, number of participants, etc. For more information on typical activities and the group in general, see the "More About Us" link on the left of the page.
If you would like to join this group, please fill out an online application by clicking on the "Request Membership" link on the left. Full payment instructions will follow once your application has been submitted. Additionally, a Liability and Consent Waiver must be signed and submitted as well. The payment and liability and consent waiver are to be submitted together.
Our membership year runs from August 1st to July 31st. Open enrollment for everyone is August 1st – March 31st and dues are $30 for the year.
