Dallas Christian Home Educators (DasCHE)
“Education is not filling a bucket, but lighting a fire.” - William Butler Yeats
What is Dallas Christian Home Educators? We are a support group consisting of approximately 200 families who are currently home schooling children, who are supportive of home schooling, or who are curious about home schooling. We seek to provide helpful information and various opportunities that relate to the education of children and the support of home schooling families, especially in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
Some of our efforts include:
- Monthly support group meetings (September through May) designed to inform, equip, and encourage home schooling families; these meetings are open to the public. Our next meeting will be held on February 9th. (See below for details.)
- Field trips (open to DasCHE members and their guests)
- A graduation ceremony (May) during which parents may recognize and issue a diploma to their graduating senior (See Graduation page in left-hand menu for details.)
- Sports programs (Click on Sports in the left-hand menu for more information.)
- A Scholastic Cooperative, which accepts new applications May-July. (See Scholastic Co-op page for full details.)
Please note that Dallas Christian Home Educators is NOT a school, but we are here to help and support you in your home schooling journey.
The question we get most often is How do I enroll my child in home schooling? Click here for a Quick-start slideshow.

Our Association is a complete home school support group that holds monthly association meetings throughout the year. Meeting topics throughout the year are chosen for their ability to equip and encourage parents in the process of homeschooling their children. Monthly meeting topics from past years include:
Math: Diagnosing and Eliminating the Gaps in your Students' Math Abilities, Record Keeping, Round Table Discussions on Curriculum Styles, Teaching to Different Learning Styles, Maximizing Your Child's Learning Potential, Lap Booking, and more....
If you are serious about homeschooling your student and are looking for valuable information to assist you in your homeschooling efforts, we encourage you to join us at our monthly meetings to both encourage and better equip you in your homeschooling journey.
Childcare for children ages 9 and younger will be available for our meetings beginning in September. As the meeting time approaches, please RSVP by clicking on the event title (in blue letters) in the upper right-hand corner.

Some of the forms on this website need Acrobat Reader to view, download, and print out. Click on the link to download it free.
You will also see as you click around that we are not a group that prefers isolation to community. In fact, we are just the opposite. This organization was founded over thirty years ago and has grown to provide services for most aspects of the home school experience.
WHO ARE WE?
In addition to fellowship and mutual support our association provides a Scholastic Cooperative as an enhancement to individual parental teachings. We also have monthly meetings at which outside speakers give practical advice to our member families. There are many more avenues by which this organization is of service to our families; curriculum advice, group field trips, a monthly newsletter, music training, honor societies, teen activities, even our own baseball team.
There is quite a bit more information available on this site’s private pages but they can only be accessed by Association members. However, visitors can attend our Association meetings since they are all open to the public and we encourage you to do so.
As you will see, we at DasCHE are parents who have decided to educate our children at home as opposed to sending them off to the care of state-sponsored educators and administrators. In particular, we have decided to place Christian principals as the bedrock of our mission and that mission is bringing up our children in a way that is pleasing to God.
