FISH Home Education Network is a Christian network of homeschooling families from the Madison, Wisconsin area, including many surrounding communities.

We have a Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/FISHHomeEducationNetwork, and we are grateful to Calvary Bible Fellowship for providing space for our FISH Resource Center, monthly parent meetings, and Lego Club.

FISH started as a grassroots group with 8 families meeting in homes in 1985. These original families decided that their small group could do more to reach and encourage other homeschooling families in the Madison area. They became more organized in their approach and finally founded F.I.S.H., or Families In School at Home. F.I.S.H. was the first homeschool support network of its kind in the Madison area.

It has been more than 20 years since the F.I.S.H. group was founded. We have gone through a minor name reorientation and become FISH Home Education Network, but essentially we are the same group.The mission that led to our founding twenty years ago, one of Christ-centered encouragement for fellow homeschoolers and choosing to take responsibility for our children's education, continues to be the mission we hold to today.
