Which team will my player support?

Teams will be set based on the age of your player on September 1 of the season. Please see below for the ages for the ages of the teams:

  • 10U for players ages 8 – 10 on or before 9/1
  • 12U for players ages 11 – 12 on or before 9/1
  • 14U for players ages 13 – 14 on or before 9/1

How much do the uniforms cost?

We are hoping to have fundraisers for the 2019-2020 season that will help cover the cost of all the uniforms for both the Boy's and Girl's program.  That information will be shared at the Registration information meeting.

Where do you play your home games?

Our home games are held this year at San Jacinto College Central-Fairmont Parkway Pasadena Tx.

What kind of travel expenses can I expect?

The teams participate in a few out-of-town tournaments. Your registration does not cover all tournament fees, and you will need to budget for hotel, gas, and dining out costs.

  • Our 18U, 16U, 14U and 12U teams participate in two out-of-town tournaments, which are usually overnight stays.
  • All teams except Girls 10U will participate in the National Christian Home School Regional Big South Tournament in February in Fort Worth/Mansfield.
  • Individual teams may participate in the National Christian Home School Tournament in Springfield, Missouri in mid-March and 6 – 7 nights in a hotel are necessary.
How many players are chosen for the teams?

The head coach will choose 7 to 13 players for the roster. The roster will be finalized one week prior to your first game or the end of October, whichever comes first.

Do you have any fundraisers?

Yes. Fundraisers are a necessary activity each year to cover our practice gym and tournament costs. CHSA's fees are lower than most homeschool sports organizations in Houston, and in order to remain as such, all players will be required to participate in our fundraising activities.

  • We will have 2 organization-wide fundraiser that all players are required to participate in.
  • We will obtain business sponsorships for our current season spirit t-shirts. Players will be required to assist soliciting sponsorships.
  • Our families participate in our Shopwithscrip.com program by buying prepaid gift cards for various retail businesses to earn money for their registration fees and for CHSA.
  • Shoot a thon/Balls for Buckets is a simple program collecting sponsors or pledges for free throws.  These funds will be used to help pay for uniforms, etc for each of the programs.
  • We raise funds through Kroger’s Community Reward Program. When families link their Kroger Rewards card with CHSA’s registration number, CHSA receives a quarterly donation from Kroger based on the total purchases made.
  • We also ask families to use smile.amazon.com and select CHSA as your non-profit and we'll receive 1% of all your purchases.  It's easy and no hassle!
  • More details are on our website under the Fundraising link.
