Please join us for our first monthly parent support meeting of the school year! We meet on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm at Broadway Christian Church in Mattoon. Please enter on the south side of the building (look for all the mini-vans). We've been asked to limit our movement in the church to our normal meeting room and the restrooms. Each meeting will consist of prayer, food, and fellowship with other homeschooling parents. We will discuss a variety of topics over the course of the school year. In the past, we have encouraged members to bring a snack to share. This year a small snack will be provided. We may ask for volunteers to bring snacks throughout the year as needed. Thank you!
The room will be sanitized, and we will space out our seating. Please sign-up for the meeting so that we can make sure that our room is the appropriate size. Masks are not required, but it is certainly okay if you want to wear one. We will still provide drinks and hand sanitizer. We encourage you to bring your own pen and paper.
We do not provide childcare or allow children at the meetings, so please make other arrangements for your children that night. Nursing babies are always welcome. :)
We are grateful for small returns to normalcy this year, but we know things will still look a little different for now., We are looking forward to a great year of supporting each other in our homeschooling journeys!

We will be giving out some important information about our group, including discussing our website, book orders, local classes, meeting new families, FAQ about homeschooling, and of course, we will have time to catch up with each other about all that we've been up to over the summer. If you have a question about homeschooling that you would like answered in a Q&A that night, please send it to one of the emails above.

ECIHEN is a homeschool parent-led group. All events are planned by volunteer parents, and while they will all be having their own precautions in place due to COVID, neither the group nor the event planner is responsible for a guarantee of safety.
