Welcome

Our site is dedicated to bringing you up-to-date homeschooling information for North Dakota.  Our public pages offer information on the North Dakota home school law, contacts for area support groups, a free downloadable Home School Packet, convention information, the current statement of intent form, resource lists of online homeschool programs or traditional textbooks and thoughtful articles on various aspects of private, parent-directed home education.  Please take a moment to browse our site or contact the office if you have further questions.

Suddenly supervising home learning?

The North Dakota Home School Association is here to help any family as they deal with school closings.  Please note, however, that these students are not homeschooling students, but homebound students.  The North Dakota Century Code has mandates for all homeschooling families which do not apply to those who are temporaily out of school due to the virus

Click here for a list of free online resources.

If you are interested in homeschooling please go through our "Getting Started" information.  We are happy to help with any questions during our regular posted hours.

If you do choose to homeschool, know that you can do it and we can help.  If you want to begin you must submit a statement of intent along with a copy of your high school diploma or G.E.D. to your local district superintendent.  This may be submitted via USPS.
