Winged Warriors of the Sky: Raptors

Discover the world of eagles, hawks, owls and vultures with special emphasis on their adaptations for survival. Live birds and numerous props accompany this interactive presentation. Students get to explore the adaptations of raptors, specifically owls, through a hands-on activity investigating owl pellets. This is a terrific lab activity teaching about food chains, ecology and natural history. Participants will discover & take home small skeleton parts from rodents, birds and more!

This field trip is recommended for children ages 6 and up. Please use discretion about signing your child up. There will be a  level of maturity required for this dissection and presentation. Younger children and siblings can visit in the very cool nature center while the others are participating in the activity.

Feel free to stay afterwards and have lunch or take a hike through the nature trails.

Cost is $4 per participating student. Non participating children and adults are free but donations are appreciated.
