 Field Trips

• Event Description:

Our goal is to have at least one to three field trip per month.  We would also like to provide trips for the different age groups represented in our group. Due to Covid-19 we have asked families to use precautions in planning field trips. Please specify all requirements related to Covid-19 asked by the facility and/or by the field trip coordinator.

Steps to follow when planning a field trip:

  • Choose a facility, and call them to gather all the necessary information.
  • Before picking a date, take the time to look at our calendar. You will have a better turn out if there is no other activity on the same day, and if you give the members plenty of time to plan for it.
  • Complete the form on the calendar in order to have Amber Sculnick approve the event.
  • Promote your trip by sending frequent forum and Facebook posts prior to the activity.

If your field trip requires our members to sign up prior to the trip, please let the coordinator know.  Then you will need to provide a sign up due date, max number of kids if required, or any additional info you might need to know ahead of time.

If there is a cost to attend the field trip, PETC will collect payment via PayPal on the website. We will either pay the facility by check, credit card, or PayPal. Please be sure to check with the facility to determine what will work out best for them before setting up the activity on the calendar. Contact Amber Sculnick and Katie Reynolds, in order to provide this information.

Please be aware that most of our activities and events are scheduled during the course of the school year. Never the less, members are always welcome to plan summer trips.

What to include in your flier:

Date, time, location, address, directions or a map link ,description of the activity, cost, age group, and any other specific instructions. If applicable, the max # or min # of children allowed. Please provide your contact information in order for members to contact you dirently for questions regarding the activity.
